Studies for Personal Spiritual Enrichment

CORE Course Descriptions

COTS-1.  Old Testament Survey-This is a 23 lesson study whereby you will obtain a working knowledge of every book of Old Testament and will be able to closely study many of the significant chapters. An exam will be given at the end of this course.

CNTS-1.  New Testament Survey-This is a 27 lesson study whereby you will obtain a working knowledge of every book of New Testament and will be able to closely study many of the significant chapters. An exam will be given at the end of this course.

CDSP-1. Discipleship: This is 25 lesson study of the basic disciplines of the Christian life intended to strengthen and deepen the believer producing a true, reproducing disciple of Christ. An exam will be given at the end of this course.

CGOJ-2.  Knowing Jesus: The Gospel of John- This is a 26 lesson, verse by verse study of the Gospel of John, with special attention to key passages.

CATS-2.  The Book of Acts: Religion to Relationship- This is a 13 lesson study of the life of Paul.

CEPH-2.  A Spirit Filled Life: A study of Ephesians-A 13 lesson study of the book of Ephesians where you will learn how to possess spiritual riches that are the result of the Spirit-filled life.

MNCS-2.   Student is responsible for twenty hours of volunteer ministry or community service required for Associate Degree students that counts as 10 credits towards your degree.

CKHS-3.  Knowing Holy Spirit: A 12 hour study of the Person of Holy Spirit.

CLGW-3.  Living Godís Way-A Study of Romans- A 26 lesson study of Romans and Paulís lessons on how to apply the Word of God to your life.

CWPT-3.  Walking in the Present Truth-A 24 lesson study of the biblical principles of restoration as they apply to the history of Godís people, the future of the Church and Godís unique work in the life of every believer.

MNCS-3.   Student is responsible for twenty hours of volunteer ministry or community service required for Bachelor Degree students that count as 10 credits toward your degree.

ELECTIVE Course Descriptions

EBDO - Basic Doctrine 1. A 24 lesson study of some of the major doctrines of the Bible including the doctrines of Scripture, God, Man, Sin and Satan. These studies become the basis for establishing a biblical world view.

EBDT- Basic Doctrine 2.  A 24 lesson continuation of Basic Doctrine I covering the doctrine of Christ, Angels, the Holy Spirit, the Church, Heaven, Hell and Eschatology. These studies become the basis for establishing a biblical world view.

ECPL**- Church Planting.  A 24 lesson look at the biblical basis for church planting with particular emphasis on the practical process from preparation to implementation.

ECTN - Evaluating Current Trends.  A 12 lesson biblical study of the principles one uses to discern trends and true and false ministry with a special emphasis on the analysis of various trends currently affecting the church world.

EEVG - Evangelism.  A 12 lesson study designed to equip the believer with tools needed to become more effective in communicating the Gospel and building bridges to those who do not know Christ.

EPPB - Prayer & Personal Bible Study. A 12 lesson exploration of two key disciplines in the life of every believer coupled with a study of the basic tools and methods for studying the Bible particularly as it pertains to the personal devotional life of the believer.

EFMI - Family Issues. A 24 lesson survey of family relationships, roles and responsibilities from a biblical viewpoint including marriage, divorce, parenting, grand-parenting, blended families and the ministry of the family.

ECCN** Ė From Brokenness to Wholeness-Christian Counseling: A 12 hour course on Biblical Christian Counseling

EGEN Ė Genesis 1-2-3: Foundation for Understanding the Bible

EHRM** - Hermeneutics-Interpreting Scripture.  A 24 lesson study of the basic principles governing the accurate interpretation of Scripture and how to use them effectively.

EHML** -  Homiletics The Art of Preaching. A 24 lesson study of principles relating to the spiritual feeding of a congregation and the technical preparation and delivery of sermons. Time is given for each student to give a variety of messages.

ELDP** - Leadership. A 24 lesson study of the biblical qualifications for leadership, important keys to success as a leader and timeless leadership principles that serve as a basis for a personís ministry as a leader.

ELOM** - Leadership: The Life of Moses. This 24 lesson study looks at the life of a significant leader in the history of Godís dealing with His people and principles of leadership that can be drawn from his life (Exodus- Deuteronomy).

ELMD - Life Management 1 Ė Discovery Destiny. This 12 lesson study is designed to lead the student on a journey of discovering Godís will and purpose for his or her life and how that life fits into Godís eternal purpose.

ELMA - Life Management 2 Ė Achieving Destiny. This 12 lesson study focuses on managing the resources of our life to achieve that destiny. It includes goal setting, organization, time and money management.

ELMW - Life Management 3 Ė Work and Destiny. This 12 lesson study focuses on how our lifeís work or career can lead to living a life of significance, glorifying God and fulfilling Godís agenda or eternal purpose.

ELCH Ė The Local Church.  A  24 lesson study of the local church in Godís eternal purpose including a practical emphasis on the biblical pattern, the structure and the ministries of the local church today.

EMPN - Ministering to Personal Needs.  A 12 lesson study dedicated to equipping the believer to minister to people in personal areas including salvation, water baptism, baptism of the Spirit, healing and basic counseling.

EPAM** - Pastoral Ministry. This 24 lesson class deals with the biblical foundation for the pastoral ministry and specific guidelines for common areas of pastoral practice in the pastorís private and public functions.

EREV** - The Book of Revelation. A 26 hour study of Revelation

ESRR- Social Roles/Relationships. A 12 lesson study exploring our relationships with God, government, parents and peers with a special emphasis on cultivating friendship, dating, courtship and marriage.

EVCH - Victorious Christianity. A 24 lesson study on the spiritual foundation of the life of every believer including repentance, faith, water baptism, baptism of the Holy Spirit, forgiveness, and other basic Christian disciplines.

EVSV**- Vision and Values. A 24 lesson leadership development course focusing on defining, developing, and implementing core values, vision and appropriate strategies in growing a church or building a business.

 

Classes will be presented using various media: Audio, Video, Word or PDF Documents, Power Point Presentations, or Live On-Line Instruction.

**THESE CLASSES ARE ONLY AVAILABLE TO BACHELOR DEGREE PROGRAM STUDENTS AND THOSE STUDENTS TAKEN INDIVIDUAL CLASSES FOR PERSONAL SPIRITUAL ENRICHMENT.

All classes are available to persons wishing to study for their Personal Spiritual Enrichment.
